Welcome to Houston Racing Triathlon Club

HRTC is Houston’s oldest, largest and preeminent triathlon club. With over 800 members, it serves to educate the beginner triathlete while providing a substantial social and training network for experienced triathletes. The club sponsors monthly meetings, holds an annual sprint distance triathlon and supports racers at various events. The club is fully supported by volunteers.

IRONMAN ARIZONA

HRTC had at least two members finishing faster than 12 hours at Ironman Arizona on November 22.  Mark Brooker finished 2nd in his age group (M40-44) with a blistering 9:18.  Joe Kachinski finished in 10:30.  Other registered HRTC members at IMAZ included Bart Barrett, Morris Cooper, Mark Futrell, James Hahn, Scott Harrison, Joe Lechnar, Ghent Lummis, Melissa Rankin, Jed Silverman, and John Startz.  If other HRTC members raced at IMAZ and want to be recognized, e-mail the webmaster at webmaster@houstonracing.com. 

NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Congratulations to HRTC’s new Board Members Ingrid Hillhouse, Will Neff and Bill Tommaney.  The Board will decide new leadership positions next month.  Kathleen Woodhead, Allie Kemp and Merry-Lynn McDonald have completed their terms.  Their leadership and contributions are appreciated.  Make sure you let them know.
